Summary
In an era marked by rapid environmental and legal challenges, the London Center for
Development is proud to host the online conference "Environmental Politics and Law in an Ever
Evolving World" on May 20th, 2024. This event aims to bring together a diverse group of
thinkers, scholars, and practitioners to explore and discuss the intricate relationships between
environmental policies, legal frameworks, and their global impact.
Mission
Our mission is to facilitate a comprehensive dialogue on the pressing issues at the intersection of
environmental politics and law. As the world faces unprecedented environmental crises, from
climate change to biodiversity loss, the need for innovative and sustainable solutions has never
been more critical. This conference seeks to highlight the latest research, foster interdisciplinary
discussions, and inspire action-oriented outcomes.

We are honored to have Dr. Abbas Poorhashemi, President of the Canadian Institute for International Law Expertise (CIFILE), as our keynote speaker.
